Members of the Pilipinas God First United Bangsamoro Isko for President (PGFUBIP) coalition, Muntinlupa Isko Supporters, Truck Drivers of the Philippines Party List, and the Federation of Quezon City Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association expressed their full support to Domagoso’s candidacy during their oath-taking as part of the Aksyon Demokratiko on Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Members of the PGFUBIP coalition said they chose to support Domagoso over other presidential candidates because of his concern for their sector.

“Other national candidates have tried to get our support but we decided to join Mayor Isko’s presidential campaign because of his genuine concern for the Muslim community in Manila,” a representative of the coalition said.

They cited the construction of the Manila Islamic Cemetery, the first Muslim cemetery in the National Capital Region, which was inaugurated on June 7, 2021.

Many Muslims are also beneficiaries of the Manila “Basecommunity” housing project in Tondo, which was turned over by the city government last July.

Other sectoral and political groups that have pledged their support to Domagoso include the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) Rainbow Warriors for Isko, Young Entrepreneurs for Isko, Taytay Urban Poor for Mayor, Kapampangans for Isko, Isko Northern Alliance, Seniors Para Kay Isko, ISKO Tayo Kabataan, and the Cordillera People’s Liberation Army.

The Ikaw Muna movement said more volunteer groups are scheduled to join Aksyon Demokratiko.
