Col. Manuel Lukban Jr., Bulacan police director said red teaming operations and inspections are being carried out in various police hubs located in different cemeteries to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure that the minimum health protocols and safety guidelines are strictly followed in places of convergence, including the strict enforcement of community quarantine rules and local ordinances.

Lukban said the BPPO increased its police visibility to deter criminals from taking advantage of the season and to be prepared to respond to any eventuality.

On Friday, Oct. 29, authorities in the three cities and 21 municipalities in Bulacan conducted mobile patrol to remind Bulakenyos about the closure of all private and public cemeteries in the province from October 29 to November 2.

The closure of all public and private cemeteries and memorial parks is part of the national government's strict COVID-19 control measures through the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 72.
