President Duterte attended the twin summits of the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN), his last before stepping down next year, with a virtual address from Malacanang.

A Filipino-Israeli joint venture became the first pharmaceutical firm to be given the go-signal by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) to put up a manufacturing facility for oral coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines in the country. The facility will be put up at the Pampanga Economic Zone.

This, as the United States also donated beds, and vaccine cold storage units to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the US has also released a set of new guidelines for those wishing to travel to the US.
