No walk-ins allowed in Pasay City's 'Vacc to the Future' pediatric vaccination

The Pasay City government is not accepting walk-ins in its “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program for children ages 12 to 17.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano advised residents that there are two types of registration to enroll their children for the vaccination program — through the Department of Education (Deped) registration, and the other through their barangays.

She said that for the DepEd registration, students in all public schools in the city aged 12 to 17 will be registered for the vaccination program.

The registration through barangays will be for the students coming from private schools in the city, students from public schools outside of the city, and out-of-school youth.

Rubiano said the city started the vaccination of minors with comorbidites on Oct. 22 at the city-run public hospital Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) and was administered by Dr. John Victor de Gracia, PCGH Officer-in-Charge.

Rubiano said the city government initially scheduled and pre-listed 70 minors with comorbidities (A3) but the number grew to 84.

She said children with comorbidities must present a medical certificate from a pediatrician indicating that the patient has a comorbidity; documents to show proof of the relation of the parents and the child; accomplished consent/assent form; and the valid government ID issued to the parent or guardian.
