Valenzuela City gov't reminds motorists to apply for NCAP relief


The Valenzuela City government on Sunday, Oct. 24, reminded motorists who were fined for committing traffic violations under the No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP) that they can apply for exemptions and refunds.

Also called the NCAP Relief ordinance, it is only applicable for violations recorded during the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) period from March 17 to May 14, 2021.

The local government said that only residents of Valenzuela are eligible for the relief.

They may apply at the Valenzuela City Traffic Violations Adjudication Committee (VCTVAC) and submit seven sets of the following documents:

• NCAP Relief Application Form (posted on the city's official Facebook page

• Photocopy of the Notice of Violation

• Photocopy of at least two valid IDs as proof of residence- voter's ID or certification, barangay clearance, real property tax declaration, or two government IDs

• Photocopy of the official receipt and certificate of registration with Valenzuela address Relief applications can only be submitted until Dec. 31, 2021.

The NCAP Relief ordinance was implemented in July 2021 to give financial assistance to Valenzuelanos in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
