Robredo, in a Twitter post, expressed her appreciation to Yulo, the first Filipino to win multiple medals in the world championships.

Yulo claimed the gold in the men’s vault category with a score of 14.916. He also clinched the silver medal in parallel bars moments after winning the vault gold.

“Ang pusong Pinoy, nag-aalab at hindi sumusuko (The heart of a Filipino is courageous and unrelenting). Congratulations at maraming salamat (and thank you very much), Caloy!,” Robredo tweeted Sunday night, Oct. 24.

Robredo, who is running for president in the 2022 polls, also added emoticons of a Philippine flag and pink heart in her message.

Winning multiple world championship medals was a redemption in a way for Yulo after his unsuccessful debut in the Tokyo Olympics last August.
