The Navotas City government has exceeded the target number of vaccinations against measles, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria (MR-TD) for children aged six to seven.
"We are grateful to our health workers for their relentless efforts in protecting our children from diseases. We also thank the parents and guardians for their cooperation in our immunization program," Mayor Toby Tiangco said on Friday, Oct. 22.
A total of 6,308 children received MR-TD jabs, according to the data from the Department of Health(DOH). This was 106.15 percent of the 5,944 target of the city government.
There were also 5,472 out of 5,756 (95.07%) children aged 12 to 13 inoculated against MR-TD, as of Thursday, Oct. 21.
