Navotas City to give COVID-19 jabs to non-residents endorsed by other LGUs

Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco said on Friday that they will inoculate non-residents against COVID-19 if they are endorsed by their local government units (LGUs).

In an interview with CNN, Tiangco said non-residents need to be endorsed by their respective LGUs to make sure that they are not yet vaccinated.

"For example, LGU outside Navotas na malapit dito, they will endorse ‘Uy bakunahan niyo naman itong mga kababayan namin’ (Hey, please vaccinate out constituents). We will do it pero hindi lang sila pepwedeng basta mag walk-in kasi mahirap mag-check kung nabakunahan na sila sa ibang lugar (but they can't just walk-in since it's hard to check if they've already been vaccinated in other place)" he said.

As of Oct. 21, a total of 160,112 individuals have already received their first dose and 147,832 are fully vaccinated in the city.
