Marikina City begins pediatric vaccination

A total of 326 children with comorbidities are set to be vaccinated at the Marikina Sports Complex on Friday, Oct. 22.

The Marikina Sports Complex was recently converted into a vaccination facility for minors with comorbidities.

The facility has been inspected and approved by the Department of Health and is equipped with a medical room that is compliant with Pfizer vaccine administration standards, according to Mayor Marcy Teodoro.

Medical professionals and volunteer social workers are now on duty at the facility. Ambulances are also on stand-by.

Only Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are being administered to minors as they are the only ones granted Emergency Use Authorization by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration.
