In a Facebook post, Sotto gave the details during Pasig City’s Senior Citizen's General Assembly and oath-taking held on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

The assembly was attended by Pasig Coty local officials, the Pasig Senior Citizen Federation, and various Pasig Barangay Association presidents.

Aside from a social pension program and a reevaluation of the P2,400 cash gift recipients, the meeting also tackled COVID-19 policies in the workplace and a total restructuring of the Pasig senior citizens database which was deleted in 2019.

Sotto also lauded the city’s Office for Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) and the Pasig Senior Citizen Federation for looking after the welfare of senior citizens.

The city government has a track record of providing social welfare benefits for various sectors, particularly the elderly.

The city government vaccinated over 913 senior citizens under the Pasig Hospice program in September.

It also initiated the repair of the Senior Citizens Office building in Sta. Lucia, Pasig earlier in October.
