MTV announced the nominees for the 2021 MTV EMAs, which will be held on Nov. 14 (Nov. 15 in the Philippines) at Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary and will be broadcast in 180 countries.
“The MTV EMAs are our biggest night in global music, uniting fans from every corner of the world,” said Bruce Gillmer, president of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events of ViacomCBS. “The 2021 EMAs will be an epic event as we return, live from Hungary, to light up the stage with incredible performances in celebration of all music fans and the artists they love.”
Voting is now open at mtvema.com until Nov. 10th at 11:59 p.m. CET (5:59 a.m. on Nov. 11 in the Philippines).
The nominees for Best K-pop are BTS, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Monsta X, NCT 127, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and TWICE. BTS also got nominated for Best Pop, Best Group and Biggest Fans.
For Best Southeast Asia Act, the nominees are SB19 (Philippines), Ink Waruntorn (Thailand), JJ Lin (Singapore), K-ICM (Vietnam), Lyodra (Indonesia) and Naim Daniel (Malaysia).
Fans in the Philippines can catch the same-day premiere of MTV EMA on the MTV Asia channel at 8 p.m. Philippine time.
