Third-gen AirPods will have shorter stems

Third-generation AirPods

Along with the new and powerful MacBooks, Apple has also announced the third-generation AirPods. And as the headline has happily spoiled, yes, it does have shorter stems, just a bit.

Among the new in this upcoming AirPods is water and sweat resistance. Battery life has been upgraded to give you up to 30 hours. The force sensor seen in the AirPods Pro has been inherited in this version of AirPods, which follows actions based on simple gestures. Audio has been fine-tuned with custom drivers and an adaptive EQ.

The charging case itself also supports MagSafe wireless charging. Like the AirPods Pro and Max, the third-gen AirPods will receive head trackers, spatial audio and, of course, Dolby Atmos.

This third-gen AirPods does not have active noise cancelation onboard and it looks like Apple is keeping that feature exclusive for pricier versions of the AirPods.
