Despite the recent decline in the number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections in the National Capital Region (NCR), Metro Manila mayors are not inclined to ease up on the restrictions being implemented for those under 17 years old.

This, even as the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) announced the medicinal advantages of lagundi, tawa-tawa and virgin coconut oil (VCO) in the fight against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo gained a valuable ally in former solicitor general Florin Hilbay, who resigned from the Aksyon Demokratiko, where he was one of its senatorial bets, to support her.
