Prior, Macayan said he is anxious and excited to represent the Philippines in the competition.
"I feel so anxious and excited!! Whatever happens, win or lose, God knows I have given my 200% effort and hard work, so I can represent my beloved Philippines at my best. I can still remember how I first imagined myself to be a Mr. Gay World Philippines back in 2016 when John Raspado won and the dream continued when ate Janjep Carlos won in 2019. I thought this can only happen when hell freezes over, but here I am, living my dream," he said.
