Indian fugitive arrested in Parañaque City

Government agents arrested Thursday afternoon an Indian fugitive in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, Parañaque City police chief, identified the fugitive as Suresh Basapa Puri with aliases Satish Shekhar Pai and Suresh Pujari, billeted at Chateau Elysee, Dona Soledad, Barangay Don Bosco.

Operatives from the Parañaque City Police Intelligence Section, the Fugitive Search Unit Bureau of Immigration (FSU-BI), and the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) arrested Puri at about 4 p.m. while standing in front of the building where he was staying, according to Sebastian.

The city police chief said the suspect is an undocumented alien who has been staying in the country since Sept. 20, 2021. He reportedly poses a threat to the country based on a letter forwarded to Philippine authorities by Joshua Farlow of the US Department of Justice-Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The suspect was turned over to the Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility after his arrest.
