"I would like to thank Vice President Leni Robredo,

Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Senator Ping Lacson for including me as a guest candidate in their respective senatorial slates," Binay said on Friday.

He said that the government's task is to rebuild the country and restore the dignity of every Filipino especially amid the pandemic.

"The pandemic has made responding to this challenge even more urgent, and unity more compelling. We need to build the broadest unity possible for the sake of our children, grandchildren, and future generations," he added.

"Maraming paraan para umahon sa pandemya, muling ibangon ang ekonomiya ng bansa, at pagandahin ang buhay ng bawat Pilipino. Ngunit hindi natin ito magagawa kung tayo ay magkakahiwalay. Kailangan nating magsama-sama. Iba’t-iba man ang kulay, nagkakaisa naman tayo sa hangarin (There are a lot of ways to rise up against the pandemic, save the economy of the country, and improve the lives of every Filipino. But we cannot do this if we are divided. We must be united. Even if we differ in color, we are united in our advocacy)," Binay said.

Binay filed his Certificate of Candidacy on Thursday, Oct. 7, under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), and is running under Senate President Tito Sotto III and Senator Panfilo Lacson’s ticket, who are running for vice president and president, respectively.
