Richard Reynoso sings praise of Bon Salinas

Actor-singer Richard Reynoso has announced his wholehearted support for his friend, businessman-philanthropist Bonipart “BonSal” Salinas, who recently filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for mayor in his hometown of Tago in Surigao del Sur.

Richard attested that Bon is more than ready to take on the job.

He said: “Bon is like a brother to me. I’ve known him to be a man of integrity with strong and good moral values. He was able to establish himself in the business community because he is really honest, very reliable and his ideas are very innovative. He may be new in the political arena but his passion and understanding to what Tago, Surigao del Sur really needs sets him apart from the others.”

Richard maintained that Bon, unlike others, is not running for personal gain.

“He is running because he wants to put his mission and vision to reality,” he stressed.

He added: “Why do I support him? Knowing all these, who wouldn’t?”

Bon, for his part, made clear, he is simply responding to “clamor from fellow Tagon-ons.”

“I actually conducted a series of consultations with people there. It was then that I realized that there is much to be done in my beloved hometown.”

Richard joined Bon as he filed his COC in the province of Surigao del Sur together with his fellow candidates: incumbent Vice Mayor Rey Selades, Dayet Espinoza, Elaine Quiñonez, Abol Medrano, Lita Ranay, Eva Gemao, Elijah Caliwatan, Jun Cubero and Belen Laurente.

Prior, the group gathered for a concelebrated mass at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Poblacion Tago.

This was followed by a motorcade that passed through the major barangays in the municipality.

Thousands of supporters filled the town’s plaza which served as the kickoff point for the motorcade.

It is considered a first in the history of the town, with devout supporters seemingly making known their choice months ahead of the elections.

Note that Bon is among huge supporters of Manila Bulletin’s Bag Of Hope initiative.

Bon is also an ardent ally of the local entertainment industry, having organized a fundraiser benefiting musicians struggling for work amid the ongoing pandemic.
