Jopet Sison of ‘Ipaglaban Mo’ replaces Noli De Castro as Aksyon Demokratiko senatorial bet

Television personality Joseph Peter “Jopet” Sison will replace former Vice President Noli De Castro as Aksyon Demokratiko senatorial candidate, the party announced Thursday, Oct. 14.

De Castro withdrew from the Senate race on Wednesday, Oct. 13 due to “personal reasons” but still remains a member of the Aksyon Demokratiko party.

Sison, who joined Aksyon on Oct. 1, is known for his work as co-host and assistant executive producer of ABS-CBN’s “Ipaglaban Mo” and also served as a Quezon City councilor for six years.

Sison will also be joining Aksyon flag bearer Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and vice presidential candidate Dr. Willie Ong in their visit to Batangas on Oct. 15.
