SM Prime to open its first mall in Camarines Norte

SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime), one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, is opening SM City Daet on Friday, October 15, its first mall in the Province of Camarines Norte.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the firm said this is also its third mall in the Bicol Region, which will add 47,000 square meters (sqm.) of gross floor area (GFA) in its mall portfolio.

Situated along the bustling Vinzons Avenue in Barangay Lag-on, SM City Daet will have three levels of shopping, dining and entertainment destinations that are set to bring new flavors and colors in the Bicol Region.

“The opening of SM City Daet marks another milestone for SM Prime as we continue to weather the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,” SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim said.

He added that, “We hope that the opening of this mall, with safety protocols in place, will provide convenience, comfort and entertainment to our fellow Bicolanos in Camarines Norte.”

SM City Daet will open with more than 70 percent of space-lease awarded and will house local and international brands including The SM Store, SM Supermarket, SM Appliance, Miniso, Sports Central, Watsons, SurPlus, Ace Hardware and BDO.

SM City Daet will also have SM Foodcourt, Cyberzone, wellness, specialty, sports and hobbies shops to offer further selections to its diners and shoppers.

This new mall will also provide parking space for various types of vehicles for enhanced malling experience.

Meanwhile, the SM Cinema and other amusement centers will be open to the public once allowed to operate by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

SM Prime said it remains committed to its role as a catalyst for economic growth, delivering innovative and sustainable lifestyle cities, thereby enriching the quality of life of millions of people.
