Active COVID-19 cases in Bulacan continue to decline


The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan reported on Monday that the number of active COVID-19 cases in the province continues to decline.  

The PHO said that out of the total 79,532 COVID-19 cases in the province, 77,076 or 97% have recovered, and 1,117 or 1 percent of these are active cases.

Two new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 1,339.  

Of the 1,117 active cases, 174 are admitted in the hospitals, 290 are in the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), while 653 or 58% are on home isolation.

Despite the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, Governor Daniel R. Fernando appealed to Bulakenyos not to be complacent, reminding them of the importance of following the health protocol.

He said everyone should still follow the minimum public health standards when outside homes such as wearing face masks and face shields, and observing social distancing to help contain the spread of the virus.
