President Duterte has officially named Emelita P. Bagsit, as the new Regional Director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)- Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).
This was announced by DOST Secretary Fortunato “Boy” T. de la Peña during the DOST-Calabarzon’s opening ceremony of the 2021 Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) on Monday, Oct. 11.
Prior to her appointment, Bagsit served as officer-in-charge regional director of the DOST-Calabarzon.
The DOST chief congratulated Bagsit for her appointment. Bagsit’s appointment paper was signed on Oct. 6.
“Let me take this opportunity to congratulate Emmie Bagsit for being appointed by President Duterte as the new Regional Director of DOST Calabarzon,” he said.
“The President signed it October 6, 2021. Congratulations, Director Emmie.”
Bagsit is a supervising science research specialist. She coordinated the virgin coconut oil (VCO) clinical trial in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
