Caloocan City first district Rep. Dale “Along” Malapitan, who is running for mayoral post, tests positive for COVID-19.
According to Malapitan’s statement on Facebook, his team underwent swab testing on Oct. 5 and the results showed they were negative of the virus.
However, the RT-PCR test that was conducted on Saturday indicated that he is infected.
“Maliban sa ubo ay nasa maayos naman po akong kalagayan at kasalukuyang naka-quarantine, (Apart from cough, I am in good condition and currently in quarantine),” he said.
Malapitan said that he will still work while under quarantine.
“Gayunman, asahan niyo po na patuloy akong maglilingkod sa aking mga kababayan sa Caloocan sa pamamagitan ng aking mga opisina at ng buong Team Aksyon at Malasakit (However, rest assured that I will continue to serve my constituents in Caloocan through my offices and the entire Aksyon at Malasakit Team),” he said.
