BLACKPINK's Jisoo not dating football player

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK member Jisoo is not dating Korean football player Son Heung-min of English club Tottenham Hotspur.

YG Entertainment finally issued a statement on Oct. 10, three days after the dating rumors between the two celebrities surfaced last Oct. 7.

“We would like to clearly state that all dating rumors related to BLACKPINK’s Jisoo are groundless,” said the agency.

It added, “We have been watching the situation closely. However, as rumors spread overseas, we are concerned about damage to our artist, so we would like to correct the wrong information. We sincerely ask you to refrain from indiscriminate speculation.”

The dating rumor started last Oct. 7 when someone on the Korean online community SLR posted that Jisoo and Son Heung-min returned to South Korea on the same day on Oct. 5 from Paris, France.

Jisoo came back after attending the Dior show held during the Paris Fashion Week. Son Heung-min also came back to Korea on Oct. 5 from Paris instead of coming from London.

Second, Jisoo watched the Tottenham Hotspur game in London on Sept. 14, 2019 in which Son Heung-min played.

The third claim was that the two wore similar bracelets. Son Heung-min would kiss the bracelet after scoring a goal.
