Kiefer Ravena once again helped the Shiga Lakestars produce a fourth quarter comeback in defeating the Ibaraki Robots, 93-88, in their B.League match held Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Ukaruchan Arena in Otsu, Japan.

Ravena highlighted the rally with a pair of crucial baskets late in the payoff period to give the Lakestars their second win in three outings this season while bouncing back from an overtime loss last week to younger brother Thirdy and the San-En Neophoenix.

He finished with 13 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in the first of Shiga’s two-game set against Ibaraki.

Ibaraki is still without Javi Gomez de Liano, who remains under a mandatory 14-day quarantine after arriving from Manila earlier in the week.

Shiga was behind 75-64 but went on a 13-2 run with Ravena finding Ovie Soko for the dunk that tied the score at 77-all, 3:38 remaining in the fourth.

Ravena’s layup put the Lakestars ahead 79-78 and later knocked down a jumper with barely two minutes left to make it 83-80.

That jumper was part of nine consecutive points made by Shiga that sealed the victory.
