The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging infectious Diseases (IED) released new protocols for those who will travel from Metro Manila to areas under general (GCQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), as well as guidelines on close contacts with coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-infected persons. New quarantine protocols have also been set for travelers coming from abroad.

The filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) also came to a close with Senator Kiko Pangilinan, who will run as Vice President Leni Robredo’s running mate, leading last-day filers for national positions at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent in Pasay City.

And with tropical depression Maring still expected to intensify in the coming days, another low pressure area (LPA) could become a tropical cyclone, and will be called “Nando”.
