Re-electionist Rep. Jose Antonio R. Sy-Alvarado of Bulacan's 1st District on Wednesday, Oct. 6, filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) at the Provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in the City of Malolos.
Sy-Alvarado vowed to bring back the government to the people. "Pag may kailangan kayo, huwag kayong mahihiyang lumapit sa akin," (If you need anything, please don't be shy to approach me)," he said.
The Bulacan Philippine National Police had earlier called on the candidates to help the Comelec in its mission to hold a peaceful and orderly filing of COCs and to advise their supporters to strictly follow the health protocols.
The very first candidate to file her COC on Friday, Oct. 1, was Tina Pancho of Baliuag for representative of Bulacan's 2nd District.
