In an advisory, the DSWD said the CID has to undertake disinfection as part of its precautionary measures against coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

The operations of the CID have been temporarily suspended following the two-day disinfection starting Oct. 5.

Following the closure, the DSWD advised all clients to contact 0931-796-0362 for inquiries regarding their requested assistance.

In March, the DSWD decided to close down its Central Office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City after recording 33 active cases of COVID-19.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19 among its personnel and clients, it decided to hold a three-day office disinfection and decontamination from March 19 to March 21.
