In celebration of World Teacher's Day on Tuesday, October 5, public school teachers in Makati City received the Digital Teacher's Kit from the city government to help them cope with the online learning system being implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the city government, each kit contains a jacket, boom microphone, numeric keypad, mini tripod, ring light, external sound card, backpack with UV sterilizer and tumbler holder, and a pen tablet.

Teachers may get their digital kits from their respective schools.

Makati City Mayor Abby Binay said that 61,547 students from Kinder to Senior High School, including Special Education (SPED) and Alternative Learning System (ALS) students, have received modules, a bag, uniform, leather shoes, AB or Air Binay 4.0 rubber shoes, school supplies, and other essential supplies for school year 2021-2022.

Binay added that aside from the school kits, the city also has free internet and Mobile Learning Hub that are being deployed to various barangays in Makati to ensure that children will have access to the internet for their educational and research needs.
