CALAMBA, Laguna - Former broadcast journalist and incumbent Laguna 3rd District Rep. Sol Aragones filed a certificate of candidacy (COC) for Laguna governor on Monday (October 4).
Speaking via Facebook Live as she was about to file her COC, Aragones said she aims to put up a tertiary hospital in the province complete with medical facilities including a dialysis center.
The former news reporter said she also wants to strengthen the province's tourism and agriculture industries.
Running alongside Aragones is vice gubernatorial aspirant Jericho Ejercito, son of former Laguna Governor ER Ejercito.
Aragones will be running against incumbent Laguna Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, who earlier announced that he would be seeking a third term as the province's chief executive.
