Mayor Isko appeals to voters to elect him and Doc Willie

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso appealed to voters on Monday, Oct. 4 to elect him and his running mate Doc Willie Ong in the May 2022 polls.

Domagoso issued the appeal after filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) for president before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) at Sofitel Tent in Pasay City together with Ong.

"Today, I encourage each and everyone of you mga kababayan ko, wag niyo kami paghiwalayin ni Willie," he said.

Domagoso then went on to explain the reason why he chose a doctor as his tandem.

He said this is in order for him to focus in addressing other matters such as lack of jobs if elected as president.

"As you u can see in Manila, modesty aside, we were very successful because fortunately my vice mayor is a doctor," said Domagoso.

He said since the pandemic and COVID-19 will continue to stay there is a need for immediate action.

"That's why my appeal is to elect us both," Domagoso said.

Domagoso was the second prominent personality to file his COC for president after Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao and his running mate Buhay Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza filed their COCs last Oct. 1.

It was last Sept. 22 when Domagoso formally declared his bid for the presidency in the May 2022 polls.

On the same day, the tandem of Domagoso and Ong also launched their "#BilisKilos" campaign.
