Domagoso filed his COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) filling venue at Sofitel Harbor Garden Tents in Pasay City before noon on Monday, along with his running mate vice presidential candidate Dr. Willie Ong.

"Tanggapin niyo po ang aplikasyon ko. Ako’y buong loob na tumatakbo bilang pangulo ng bansa (Please accept my application. I am wholeheartedly running for president of our country)," he said in his speech after filing the COC.

"Bigyan niyo po ako ng pagkakataon na paghilumin ang ating bansa para sa ating magandang kinabukasan na ating inaasam (Give me the opportunity to heal our country for the better future we are all hoping for)," he added.

Domagoso also vowed that he will serve the country in his own little way should he get elected.

"Sa dami ng ating suliranin, sa tulong ninyo, bigyan niyo lang ako ng pagkakataon na kayo'y mapaglingkuran sa buong bansa at mga kababayan natin nasa buong mundo (With the multitude of problems we are now facing, and with your help, please give me the opportunity to serve you all and our countrymen around the world)," the mayor said.

"In my own little way, lahat ng oras, lakas ng pangangatawan ang aking tanging puhunan, bubuhos ko nang kayo'y mapaglingkuran. Maibsan ko lamang ang inyong dinaranas.. ang ating dinaranas (With my physical strength as my only investment, I will give it all so I can serve you. To lessen what you are going through ... what we are going through," he added.

Domagoso also slammed the other politicians for being "too divisive and indecisive." "Ang ating sitwasyon o damdamin ng ating mamamayan ay punong puno ng pangamba dahil sa dulot na ibinigay sa atin ng pandemyang ito (Our situation is giving our people a feeling of fear because of the pandemic)," he said.

"Umiral din ang pang-aabuso ng ilan. Ang kasakiman. Galit ng tao. Nagkaroon tayo ng poot sa isa's isa (There are thiose who are abusing our people. Those who have become greedy. The people have become angry that they have developed hate for one another)," Domagoso stressed.

He, however, added that many Filipinos have also shown love and concern to each other because of the pandemic.

"Salamat sa Diyos sapagkat ni sa panaginip, hindi ko akalaing makakaharap ako sa inyo ng ganito (Thank God because even in my dream, I never thought I would be able to face you all like this)," Domagoso said.

"Let's heal our country and together, there will be a better future for each and everyone of us. With your help, we can do it."

Domagoso and Ong are running under the Aksyon Demokratiko political party.
