In an advisory written in Filipino, the DFA assured the public that more appointment slots will be opened in the next few days.

The DFA reiterated that appointment slots are free and can only be secured by going to the website passport.gov.ph.

The public is also reminded to make sure that there are no errors in their names and place and date of birth before they submit the online form. Any error will not be corrected on-site and will be done manually.

Meanwhile, the DFA also had an advisory to those who are waiting for their passports to be delivered.

It said that if an applicant has not received their passport within 12 days after their biometrics are taken, there could be a problem with their address.

The DFA said that those with the said problem will receive an email or call from the agency asking them for their correct address.

"Pakisagot lamang po ang tawag upang maipadala na ang inyong passports (Please answer our call so we can deliver your passports)," its advisory read.

Those who have not availed of a courier service are advised to go to the Consular Office where they applied for their passport on the date indicated in their receipts.
