More than P40-M worth of illegal drugs seized in PDEA Cebu ops


CEBU CITY – -More than P40 million worth of suspected shabu were seized and three drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations in Lapu-Lapu City on Friday, October 1.

First to fall was 40-year-old Esterlita Millanes, who was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. in Barangay Sangi, Lapu-Lapu.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Visayas (PDEA 7), Millanes, who lives in the barangay, is in the regional priority top 10 list.

Eleven packs of suspected shabu weighing two kilos and with an estimated value of P14 million were seized from the woman, the PDEA 7 said.

The same operating teams from the PDEA 7, police and other law enforcement agencies caught another big fish about an hour later.

At least four kilos of suspected shabu worth P27 million were confiscated in Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu.

The packs of shabu were confiscated from Reny Dente Nabor, 48, and Rhodora Diaz Dayuha, 50.
Nabor was also included in the regional.l priority top 10 list, the PDEA 7 said.
