Kazakhstan's Altay VC made quick work of Team Rebisco Philippines, 25-23, 25-13, 25-17, in the 2021 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Asian Women's Club Championship at the Terminal 21 Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand Friday, Oct. 1.

Leading 2-0, Altay put the finishing touches in the third set after unloading an 8-1 run capped by a Sana Anarkulova service ace to take the match away as early as the 18-9 cushion.

In the second canto, Rebisco also absorbed a quick drubbing as Kristina Belova and Nadiaa Kodola joined forces for an 8-2 run en route to a commanding 15-4 lead and never looked back.

Rebisco tried to salvage its first set after a costly attack error from Altay and a crucial dump from Rebisco's Kamille Cal to close the gap at 23-24.

But Faith Nisperos' spike serve for a deadlock went wide, handing the first set win to the Kazakh club.

Rebisco will next face Thai squad Supreme Chonburi at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at the same venue.
