Bren Esports star Karltzy finalist for Esports Mobile Player of the Year

Bren Esports star jungler Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno was among the finalists for the Mobile Player of the Year in the Esports Awards which is set to announce the winner on Nov. 20 in Arlington, Texas.

Karltzy, the lone Filipino finalist in the category, joined nine fellow players from other professional mobile games who stood out and turned heads in international scene.

Other finalists were Chinese star Zu “paraboy” Bo Cheng from PUBG Mobile, Austrian Mustafa "SkYRiiKZz" Ibrahim from the Brawl Stars, Thai player Piyapon "TheCruz" Boonchuay from Garena Free Fire and Egyptian Mohamed "Mohamed Light" Tarek from Clash Royale.

Completing the nominees were Call of Duty’s Brian "Tectonic" Michel, Garena Free Fire’s Cauan "Cauan7" da Silva and Gabriel "Syaz" Vasconcelo from Brazil, Call of Duty Mobile’s Jash “Learn” Shah from India and Clash Royale’s Lucas "LucasXGamer" Vinicius Batista Rocha from Brazil.

Karltzy caught worldwide attention when he towed Bren Esports to a title in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championships in Singapore early this year. Bren Esports defeated Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls in a thrilling seven-game grand finals series, 4-3. His stellar performance also earned him the Grand Finals MVP citation.
