In a recorded speech, Alden expressed his gratitude to the award-giving body and to those who were part of their movie, “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Philippine Movie Press Club sa pagbibigay po sa akin ng ‘Movie Actor of the Year’ para sa ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’.
See you soon po!”

Aside from Alden, Kapuso artists David Licauco and Michelle Dee took home the ‘New Movie Actor and Actress of the Year’ titles for the movie ‘Because I Love You’.

David Licauco

David was thankful and humbled to accept the award, “I never expected to be in showbiz, I never expected to see myself on TV, and what more now that I actually have an award from PMPC. It’s just so surreal. I just want to thank PMPC for this award, this will make me improve on my craft and do well. I want to say thank you to my manager,
GMA Artist Center, GMA Network, for trusting and believing in me. I promise to do better and stick to our vision which is to entertain people.”

Michelle, on the other hand, dedicated her first-ever acting award to her family, "Napakalaking karangalan po nito since 'Because I Love You' is actually one of the first films that I shot throughout my acting career kaya nakakataba po talaga ng puso. I'd like to thank everyone who supported me and I'd also like to thank Direk Joel Lamangan for your guidance throughout the film kasi without you, hindi ko 'to mahahawakan. Iba pala 'yung feeling 'pag hawak mo na 'yung trophy. But I would like to dedicate this award actually to my parents, Melanie Marquez and Derek Dee, for their unwavering support throughout my career."

Ricky Davao

Meanwhile, actor and Nagbabagang Luha director Ricky Davao was recognized as the ‘Movie Supporting Actor of the Year’ for the independent film ‘Fuccbois.’
