Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the city will be in good hands in case Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan succeeds him as chief executive of the nation’s capital.
“Mga batang Maynila (People of Manila), you are in good hands. I trust Honey Lacuna 100 percent that she will continue ‘yung allowance ng senior citizen sa Maynila,” Domagoso said in an interview at Hidden Garden in Lawton, Manila where the new members of Aksyon Demokratiko took their oath on Monday (Sept. 27).
Lacuna-Pangan officially announced on Sept. 23 that she will run for Manila mayor in the 2022 election.
Domagoso said he was grateful to have Lacuna-Pangan as his vice mayor because she led the Manila Health Department amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Tawag nga natin diba sa kanya ‘Honey Bakuna.’ Kaya she will do good and I do believe in that,” he said.
The local chief executive also said that the city government has a “prototype” amid the pandemic and, if given a chance, the health system would be a priority of the next administration.
