Member of Vargas criminal group arrested in Pateros


The Pateros police arrested a member of a criminal group responsible for illegal drugs and theft in the municipality. 

Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said Zaldy Salvador, 40, is a member of the Vargas criminal group involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs and theft in Pateros.

The Pateros police’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Salvador in a buy-bust operation conducted on Sept. 24 on M. Almeda Street corner Rosal Street in Brgy. Sto. Rosario-Silangan, Pateros. According to the police, Salvador is included in the Unified Drugs Watchlist of Pateros. 

Confiscated from Salvador are two plastic sachets containing two grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) estimated to be worth P13,600 and a P500 bill.

I congratulate the Pateros police and keep up with the good work for us to maintain peace in our area of responsibility,” said Macaraeg.
