The OCTA Research Group is saying the country’s average weekly number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is already decreasing, as the One Hospital Command Center also said calls are starting to also decline.

Filipinos have their fingers crossed that the COVID-19 surge is, indeed, starting to lose steam.

Meanwhile, on the political front, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. still has to accept the nomination of his father’s political party Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL), a possibility that Vice President Leni Robredo already criticized as this would lead to historical revisionism.

And with a week left in the registration of voters, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is feeling the pressure from both Houses of Congress to extend the enlistment for one more month.

These are among the top stories this Saturday morning, September 25, 2021.

Former senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. delivers a video message, thanking the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL), a political party founded by his late father former president Ferdinand Marcos, for nominating him as its presidential nominee in the 2002 national elections during the party’s national convention at the Thunderbird Resorts and Casino in Bingangonan, Rizal, on Friday, September 24, 2021.
