PRC: 1,084 passers in September 2021 Physician Licensure Examination

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Friday, Sept. 24, that 1,084 examinees passed the Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) this month.

The PRC said that a total of 1,546 took the PLE. The examinations were held in Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga.

Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto from West Visayas State University - La Paz and Jude Philip Pozon Cebrecus from Cebu Institute of Medicine tied on the first spot with a rating of 87.83 percent.

The other examinees who made it into the Top 10 were:

-Dickson Araza Laude- 87.67 percent (Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation)

-Niño Pimentel Emocling- 87.58 percent (Saint Louis University)

-Justine Mae Manaois Gervero- 87.08 percent (Saint Louis University)

-Carl Jay Enad Jainar-87 percent (University of Sto. Tomas)

-Patricia Ann Sayson Franco- 86.92 percent (Saint Louis University)

-Kirk Louie Umali Amandoron-86.83 percent (Cebu Institute of Medicine)

-Jan Camile Lorenzana Ozaeta- 86.33 percent (De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Inst.)

-Lee Anne Velasco Sanglay-86.33 percent (Saint Louis University)

-Raenald Pascual Julian- 86.25 percent (Saint Louis University)

-Brylle Domerson Mendoza Turalba- 86.17 percent (Saint Louis University)

"The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later," the PRC said.

‘Top performing schools’

PRC also announced the list of the "top performing schools" who had fielded "50 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage." These include:

Cebu Institute of Medicine- 98.68 percent (75 out of 76 passed)

Xavier University-91.55 percent (65 out of 71 passed)

Saint Louis University- 90.60 percent (106 out of 117 passed)

West Visayas State University-La Paz- 90 percent (72 out of 80 passed)

Davao Medical School Foundation- 89.36 percent (126 out of 141 passed)

Cebu Doctors University- 88.73 percent (63 out of 71 passed)
