Sex and the City star Willie Garson passes away


He was 57 years old.

One of our favorite actors from Sex and the City died today, September 21. Willie Garson, also known as Stanford Blatch on the hit TV show has passed away. He's also part of the HBO's upcoming series "And Just Like That."

While the cause of death has yet to be confirmed, a family member confirmed this sad news to Variety.

“The ‘Sex and the City’ family has lost one of its own. Our amazing Willie Garson,” quoting Michael Patrick King, executive producer of “SATC” and “And Just Like That." “His spirit and his dedication to his craft was present every day filming ‘And Just Like That.’ He was there — giving us his all — even while he was sick. His multitude of gifts as an actor and person will be missed by everyone. In this sad, dark moment we are comforted by our memory of his joy and light.”
