The Makati City local government opened on Wednesday the registration for its free flu and pneumonia vaccine for senior citizens.
The city government said that the vaccination aims to protect the city's senior citizens against the harmful effects of flu and pneumonia, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic and its Delta variant.
Senior citizens who wish to avail of the free vaccination may register using the link www.pulmo-vaccine.safemakati.com.
The local government unit explained that senior citizens must provide their Blu card or Yellow Card number before they can book an appointment.
Makati City opened four health centers where they can get vaccinated:
1. Pio Puericulture Center (for Barangay Bangkal, Pio Puericulture Center, Pio Rural Health Unit, Palanan, San Isidro, San Antonio)
2. Valenzuela Health Center (for Barangay Valenzuela, Tejeros, Olympia, Kasilawan, Carmona, Sta. Cruz, Lapaz, Poblacion, Singkamas, Guadalupe, Viejo)
3. Pembo Health Center (for Barangay Pembo, Rizal, Southside, East Rembo, Comembo)
4. Pitogo Health Center (for Barangay Pitogo, Cembo, Northside, South Cembo, West Rembo, Pinagkaisahan, Guadalupe Nuevo)
