Bulacan PHO logs 539 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths


The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan has recorded 539 new cases and 12 additional deaths on Monday, September 20.

The PHO said the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province have reached 68,236 with 64,092 recoveries.

The active cases are 2,882 with 721 admitted in hospitals, 257 in Temporary Treatment Monitoring Facilities (TTMF), and 1,904 in home isolation.Fifty-three percent of cases are mostly male with ages ranging from 1 day to 100 years old, while 24 percent belong to the 20 - 29 years age group.

The PHO said the 12 additional deaths brought the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Bulacan to 1,262. The highest reported active cases are from the City of San Jose Del Monte and the municipalities of Sta Maria and Balagtas.

During the 3rd quarter Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) allowance distribution in the towns of Balagtas, Guiguinto, San Ildefonso, and Baliuag, Governor Daniel R. Fernando reminded his constituents to strictly observe the minimum health protocols such as the wearing of face masks and face shields, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing.
