Miguel Tabuena shot a two-under par 68, enough for him to capture the championship trophy in the Idaho Open for his first title on U.S. soil Sunday (Monday in Manila) at the Quail Hollow Golf Club in Boise, Idaho.

A day after a solid seven-under 63 effort in the second round of the 54-hole tournament, Tabuana delivered another outstanding performance that saw him produce an eagle on the par-5 7.

A two-time winner in the Asian Tour, the 26-year-old Tabuena had a three-day aggregate score of 196 for 14-under in the tournament, winning the event by four strokes on Brad Marek.

“Thank you to everyone back home! This is definitely not the last!” Tabuena wrote in the comment section of his photo posted by the Philippine Golf Tour Instagram account @philgolftour.

Marek shot a final round 67 to finish at 10-under and a total score of 200.

Jamie Hall took third place at 203, followed by Kyle Mitsunaga at fourth spot with 205, Li Wang and Steve Schneiter shared fifth and sixth with 206, Owen Mahaffey at seventh with 209.

Completing the top 10 finishers in the tournament are Keynan Fanslow at eighth with 210, Mitch Carlson at ninth with 212, while tied for 10th are Joel Skarbo and Travis Hofland.

Tabuena, who competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics, also mixed his final round with birdies on 9, 10, 14 and 16, while he bogeyed on 6 and 16, and a double bogey on the par-3 4.

Behind by one stroke after a 65 in the opening round, Tabuena fired a seven-under 63 in the second round highlighted by nine birdies that gave him a five-stroke lead on Marek.

Tabuena won the Philippine Open in 2015, and the 2018 Queen’s Cup in Thailand both parts of the Asian Tour.

The tournament served as part of the PGA Rocky Mountain Section with Tabuena, eyeing bigger events in hopes of a Korn Ferry Tour card and hopefully a crack at the PGA Tour.
