Davao City doctor: Michael Yang is hypertensive

Michael Yang, a central figure in the alleged ‘’premeditated plunder’’ at the Procurement Service Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), is sick.

Yang, however, was logged in in today’s (September 17) hybrid public hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee chaired by Senator Richard J. Gordon. It was the committee’s seventh public hearing.

In last Monday’s hearing, Yang’s lawyer, Raymond Fortun, notified that Yang could not attend the hearing because he has a high blood pressure.

Manila Bulletin learned that Yang submitted today a medical certificate issued by Adtoon Medical Clinic in Calinan, Davao City.

The medical certificate stated that Yang, 45, of Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, Davao city, was seen last September 13 and he is suffering from ‘’hypertensive urgency.’’

Yang, reported to be the financier of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, was advised to rest for ‘’five days for observation and BP monitoring.’’

It was signed by Dr. Jenny A, Adtoon.

Senators are wondering why Pharmally, with a paid up capital of P625,000, was able to bag contracts worth more than P11 billion in COVID 19-related medical supplies from OS-DBM whose resigned chief, Lloyd Christopher Lao, is also from Davao
