Caloocan City starts online profiling of individuals aged 12-17 for vaccination

The Caloocan city government has started the profiling of minors aged 12-17 in preparation for their vaccination against COVID-19.

According to Mayor Oca Malapitan, it is important that the vaccination program is prepared as early as possible since minors belong to the age group that needs the consent of the parents or guardians.

"Sa ngayon, wala pang go signal ang pagbabakuna sa edad 12-17. Subalit, nais natin na sakaling payagan na ito ng DOH, handa na tayo at kaagad natin itong masisimulan sa Caloocan, mag-aaral man o out-of-school youth (So far, there is no go signal of vaccination for ages 12-17. However, we want that in case the DOH allows this, we are ready and we can start it immediately in Caloocan, whether students or out-of-school youth),” he said.

The city mayor expressed gratitude to the Department of Education (DepEd) Caloocan for supporting the city’s mass vaccination program.

“Malaki po ang bahaging ginagampanan ng ating mga paaralan sa ating programa sa bakuna. Mula sa pagiging vaccination sites, ngayon ay malaki din po ang inyong maitutulong sa amin para sa paghahanda natin sa pagbabakuna ng mga edad 12-17 taong-gulang (Our schools play a big role in our vaccination program. From being vaccination sites, now you can also help us a lot in our preparation for the vaccination of 12-17 years old),” he said.
