As we all know, black and white never go out of style
If there is one thing that is easy to copy from the fall-winter 2021 runways, that would be the perennial theme of black and white. We saw it become a geometric beauty through Valentino, a polka dot party by Prabal Gurung and Carolina Herrera, and a reflection of the animal kingdom with Anna Sui's cow print and Michael Kors' zebra interpretation.
Not much of a trend, black and white combo has proven that it is a classic beauty, a fool-proof pairing no fashion naive couldn't make work. The two tones live in our closets for the longest time. Now, if you want to take your B&W style game up a notch, Uniqlo's latest collaboration collection is definitely one you must see.
For its fall-winter 2021 offering, the Japanese retail brand partners with New York-based contemporary fashion label Theory to produce sophisticated city wear fit for the B&W-loving fashion savant in you. This latest lineup of everyday wear combines the functionality of Uniqlo with the stylish urban design characteristic of Theory. A new age for the Lifewear, the collection blurs dressing lines and restrictions, expanding the boundaries of gender and sensibility.
A celebration of minimalistic style, the collection is composed of nine finely honed designs for women's wear. It includes skirts with graded pleats for added elegance, seamless 3D knitwear to create a standout silhouette, minimal shirt jackets with a finishing based on a men's shirt, and double-pleated pants to enhance the volume around the waist. To bring it all together, the fall-winter 2021 collection is all about neutral designs that neatly fit everyone.
The Uniqlo x Theory collection will be launched on Oct. 1, 2021 at the brand's Global Flagship Store, and at uniqlo.com.
