CSC postpones foreign service officer exam in 8 testing centers

Civil Service Commission

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) deferred the conduct of the Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) scheduled on Sept. 12 in eight (8) testing centers.

This was due to the quarantine restrictions imposed by local authorities in the affected locations against the threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the CSC said in a statement Friday, Sept. 10.

The examination to be held Quezon City; Tuguegarao City and Ilagan, Isabela; San Fernando City, Pampanga; Lucena City; Legazpi City; Cagayan de Oro City; and Davao City will be postponed.

Meanwhile, the said examination will push through in six other testing centers, namely: San Fernando City, La Union; Iloilo City and Bacolod City; Cebu City; Zamboanga City; and Baguio City.

Likewise, the CSC announced that the testing venue in Cebu City has been changed from University of Cebu-Banilad Campus to Cebu Normal University in Osmeña Boulevard.

Examinees were reminded that only those wearing both face mask and face shield will be allowed to enter the testing venue and to take the exam.

The were told to be at the testing venue not later than 6:30 a.m., and they must wear proper attire.

The CSC said the conduct of orientation for examinees on exam day shall be temporarily lifted in observance of health protocols.

With this, examinees were urged to read Examination Advisory No. 04, s. 2021 on Testing Venue/School Assignment and Important Reminders, as well as read or watch the Examinee’s Guide, which serve as the briefing material, sent to them through email.
