Nueva Vizcaya’s Most Wanted—a pastor!— now in police custody

TUGUEGARAO CITY - Police authorities nabbed Nueva Vizcaya's Most Wanted Person at his residence in Purok 3, Brgy Abinganan, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya .

Julius Macasieb, 26, listed on top of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya’s list of most wanted persons was arrested by joint personnel of Bambang Police Station and Provincial Intelligence Unit of Nueva Vizcaya for the crime of rape, according to report on Thursday, September 9.

Investigation revealed that sometime in April 2012, the suspect was assigned as pastor of a religious sect in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya where he met the victim, a resident of the barangay.

Allegedly the suspect befriended the victim, then 17 years old, until their relationship turned sexual in August 2017 when the victim was still a minor.

On account of immorality issues, the suspect was reportedly relieved from his position in September 2019, which ended their relationship.

On March 4, 2020, however, the suspect forced the victim to meet up with him, threatening to publicly release their nude pictures if she did not show up.

Because of fear, the victim acceded, and the suspect sexually abused her on the said occasion.

The suspect was by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Paul R. Attolba Jr. of RTC Branch 30-Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya for the crime of rape dated June 23, 2021 with no bail recommended.

Macasieb is now in the custody of Bambang Police Station for documentation before he is turned over to the court of origin.
