In a report from ABS CBN, local residents first saw the snake coiled in a power line and immediately reported it to the authorities

The report said the linemen had a hard time getting the snake as was coiled tightly on the power line. Later, the snake was removed from the power line using a long stick.

As it reached the ground, the snake crawled quickly away from the linemen who tried to catch it. But when the snake was cornered, it bit the left hand of lineman Rutaben Salvacion.

Eventually, the snake, which was approximately four to five meters long, was captured and placed in a sack.

Rutaben was immediately brought to the hospital for the anti-venom vaccine, the report noted.

The linemen turned over the snake in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6.
